South African all-rounder Marco Jansen scripted history against India at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on Sunday (November 23). He became only the second man to hit seven sixes against the sub-continent side in a Test innings, equalling former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi’s record, achieved 19 years ago, in January 2006 in Lahore.
Jansen came in the mood to quicken South Africa’s innings. He hit his first maximum on his ninth delivery, tonking Ravindra Jadeja with a no-look six down the ground in the 123rd over.
