AUSTIN, Texas -- It seemed all Arch Manning needed to silence critics was finally encounter a University of Arkansas defense in the second-to-last game of the regular season -- a 52-37 win for Texas on Saturday at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Manning tallied 389 passing yards without an interception and 6 total touchdowns -- 4 passing, 1 rushing and 1 receiving -- for career highs in both. The 393 yards given up by the Razorbacks -- 4 extra on Manning's reception -- were the most they've surrendered in SEC play. Only the 431 gained by Notre Dame topped it.
