Bangladesh got a 217-run win over Ireland in the 2nd Test (X)

Left-arm spinners Taijul Islam and Hasan Murad led Bangladesh to a 2-0 series sweep over Ireland with a commanding 217-run victory in the second Test on Sunday.

This result marked a memorable 100th Test for veteran Mushfiqur Rahim at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Ireland, set a target of 509 to win, were all out for 291 in their second innings.

Taijul took 4/40 to end with eight wickets in the match, while Murad claimed 4/44, adding to his two first-innings wickets.

Curtis Campher led Ireland’s second-innings resistance with a determined unbeaten 71 off 259 balls, supported by contributions from Harry Tector (50), Jordan Neill (30), and Gavin Hoey (37).
