Ravindra Jadeja’s ODI journey is far from over. The experienced all-rounder has made his return to India’s 50-over setup after being named in the 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match series against South Africa, announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on November 23, Saturday. The squad was finalised after a special selection meeting in Mumbai, and Jadeja’s recall has instantly become one of the biggest talking points ahead of the series.

His absence from the previous ODI series against Australia had led many to believe that he was slowly being phased out of the format. Jadeja last featured in an ODI during the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy final against New Zealand in March, and his omission since then had raised genuine questions over his white-ball future.
