DETROIT - The halftime show at today’s Lions game, as they host the New York Giants , has the potential to be pretty wild and wacky.

12 furry four-legged friends will take to the field and battle it out in the third annual Corgi Cup races presented by Pet Supplies Plus.

The winning pooch will enjoy plenty of treats and receive a trophy and a $500 gift card to Pet Supplies Plus .

The 12 dogs competing are: Aggie, Cali, Cannoli, CJ, Finn, Grizzly, Helen, Lumix, Martini, Oscar, Sadie Mae, and Tito.

Before that even happens, Nashville singer/songwriter, Jamison Belushi, will perform the national anthem before the 1:00 p.m. kickoff.

The Lions are 6-4, in third in the NFC North behind Green Bay and Chicago. The Giants are 2-9, in last place in the NFC East.
