The Assam government held its third round of discussions with the All Assam Students' Union on implementing recommendations from the Biplab Kumar Committee concerning Clause 6 of the Assam Accord.

The meeting at Lok Sewa Bhawan, chaired by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, examined 52 recommendations submitted by the committee. Of these, 40 fall entirely under state jurisdiction, whilst 12 require coordination between state and central governments.

Utpal Sharma, president of the All Assam Students' Union, said the talks focused on "the doable parts" that the state government can implement independently.
