King Charles is set to travel across the pond to meet Donald Trump next year and mark the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The monarch has been invited for a state visit by Washington DC next April, the Sun reported.
It will form part of a series of celebrations planned by the Trump administration to mark 250 years since the nation’s foundation.
The transatlantic trip will be subject to the King being well enough, with the 77-year-old head of state currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
He is expected to be joined by his wife, Queen Camilla, for the landmark visit.
Buckingham Palace has yet to comment on the planned trip.
Trump was welcomed by the King in September for an unprecedented second state visit. The US president was treated to military pomp and ceremony at Windso
