The top-ranked and defending national champion Buckeyes haven't been a big participate in the portal with only 2 transfer signees in 2022, 9 in 2023, 8 in 2024 and 10 in 2025, according to On3.com.

The Buckeyes have made their hay in high school recruiting with the No. 4-rated class in the nation in 2022, 2023 and 2024, then No. 5 for the 2025 class, according to the On3.com industry rankings.
