A 13-year-old girl who was arrested after a woman in her 50s was found dead in Wiltshire has been released on bail.

Police were called to the home in Moredon at around 7pm on Friday following reports of a disorder. The woman, who was in her 50s and lived at the property, died at the scene, Wiltshire Police said. The teenager was then arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into police custody for questioning, but has since been bailed while enquiries continue.

Wiltshire Police have warned locals that an increased police presence remains in the area today while an investigation into the woman’s death continues. The force said in a statement: "There is no wider risk to the public and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
