PHOENIX — One person was killed in a west Phoenix crash early Sunday morning, according to authorities.

The Phoenix Police Department said the crash happened at 3:15 a.m. near 67th and Virginia avenues.

Police got to the scene and found the driver with serious injuries. The man died at the scene.

Two other people were taken to the hospital for "precautionary reasons" after the crash, police said.

The roadway in the area of the crash is closed.
