Ernst wasted no time getting Ramsey started on its way to the program’s fifth state title when the Rams defeated Allentown 3-0 in the Group 2 state final. The star sophomore corralled a loose ball inside the box, dribbled around an Allentown defender and stuck a left-footed shot that found its mark 20 seconds into the game. Just over a minute later, Ernst set up junior Kendall Reid for a goal to give Ramsey a 2-0 lead. She beat a defender down the left side, made a move to get to the end line and centered a pass through the Allentown back line that Reid was able to one-touch into the open net.
