Law enforcement officials in New Jersey have charged a 17-year-old boy with murder and related offenses after his mother was stabbed to death in a Mays Landing home on Saturday, officials said.

According to police, the 17-year-old son of Julissa Serrano, 49, has been arrested and charged with murder, weapon possession and related offenses after she was found stabbed multiple times at a residence within the Meadowbrook Condos in Mays Landing, New Jersey at about 6:05 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025.

First responders to the scene took Serrano to a nearby hospital were she succumbed to her injuries, officials said.
