Officials have confirmed that petrol and diesel vehicles will face a total ban across Britain from a specific date. The Labour administration has pledged in its manifesto to bring forward the ban on diesel and petrol cars by five years to 2030.
Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander stated: "Our plans will restore clarity for manufacturers, provide renewed confidence for charging infrastructure investors and give confidence to consumers considering making the switch.
