Michigan, on the strength of a 45-20 win over Maryland on Saturday, jumped up in this week's Associated Press college football poll.
The Wolverines (9-2 overall, 7-1 Big Ten) improved to No. 15 from No. 18 in the new poll released Sunday (complete poll below).
Michigan has a shot at making the College Football Playoff field but has to beat Ohio State this coming Saturday in Ann Arbor (noon, Fox).
The Buckeyes and Indiana are both 11-0 overall and 8-0 in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers close the regular season at Purdue on Friday (7:30 p.m., NBC).
Oregon is another Big Ten team with playoff aspirations. The Ducks (10-1, 7-1) finish at Washington on Saturday (3:30 p.m., CBS).
Michigan was No. 18 in last week's CFP rankings; the new rankings are released Tuesday night.
