The Dallas Cowboys will be doing everything in their power to keep hold of George Pickens after the 2025 NFL season ends.
The 24-year-old wide receiver is currently playing in the final year of his rookie contract, and will become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Cowboys are considering whether to apply the franchise tag to Pickens at an expected price of over $28 million, and then attempt to negotiate a long-term deal afterward.
Based on his performances alone this season, in which he has racked up 908 receiving yards and seven touchdowns, he has made the case for being among the highest-paid receivers in the league .
