COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football will enter this year’s edition of The Game as the nation’s top-ranked team.

The Buckeyes, for the 13th straight week, are the No. 1 team in the AP Top 25. Michigan checked in at No. 15 before hosting its biggest game of the season.

Ohio State has opened its season with 11 straight wins, capped by Saturday’s victory against Rutgers. The Buckeyes will likely also be the top-ranked team in Tuesday’s College Football Playoff rankings, and they’re in position to make the CFP regardless of The Game’s result.

Michigan (9-2, 7-1 Big Ten), though, is currently on the outside of the 12-team field looking in. The Wolverines are in must-win territory entering the final week of the regular season.
