In his 19th season, Kevin Durant entered with the Houston Rockets as a first timer in the 2025-26 season. And his prowess on the court has never been better. He has been impressive so far, averaging 27.2 points per game. His shots are over 55 percent from the field in his first handful of outings. But the momentum he brought to the Rockets has hit a snag.
As ESPN’s Shams Charania reported, “Kevin Durant will miss Monday’s game in Phoenix and Wednesday’s contest in Golden State, tending to a family matter, sources tell ESPN.” These are particularly notable games, since they come against two of Durant’s former teams. The Suns are where he played most recently. But it is the Warriors, with whom he won two NBA titles back in 2017 & 2018.
