Boston Police arrested a 16-year-old on Friday for allegedly killing another teen in Mattapan over a year ago.
The male suspect who was not identified by police because he is a juvenile, was charged with murder, using a firearm while committing a felony, attempted assault and battery with a firearm, and carrying a firearm without a license.
Police arrested the teen around 12:26 p.m. in Jamaica Plain with a warrant from Suffolk Superior Court. He is expected to be arraigned there this week.
The arrest comes over a year after police responded to a report of a person shot around Gladeside Avenue and Donwood Terrace in Mattapan at 12:23 p.m. on July 5, 2024.
