AMES, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa State picked up a Senior Day win Saturday, defeating Kansas 38-24 for their second victory in a row.
Head coach Matt Campbell said the team has reached a point where they’re playing their best football and finding their rhythm, crediting the team’s leadership for the turnaround.
“Our game is one that is constantly evolving and growing,” said Campbell. “And to play our best football in late November, against all the odds against all the stuff that’s hit the team, it just says a lot about this team.”
The commanding victory marked a significant bounce-back performance for Iowa State after their mid-season struggles. Campbell says heir leadership has helped them get through it.
