Just a few months after opening its doors, Parkhill School is already buzzing with energy, activity and a strong sense of community.

Principal Kim Koop says the first few months have exceeded expectations as staff and students settle into the brand-new building.

“It’s been amazing how the school has come to life in that short amount of time,” Koop notes.

Built on belonging

The new school was intentionally designed to support connection and development, something staff have prioritized from day one.

Each school section, or neighbourhood, is named after a tree — a creative way to help students remember their classrooms and feel rooted in their environment.

“Our school was built with a nature theme — from the colouring and the design of it — so we kind of played off that.”
