The New York Jets lost to the Baltimore Ravens yesterday, 23 -10. The Ravens came out flat, looking unimpressive and out of sorts in the first half. It was an opportunity for the Jets to build a big lead and possibly sneak out of Baltimore with an upset. Alas, it was not to be. The Jets could only manage seven points in a 7 -3 snoozefest opening half. When the Ravens woke up and started playing more to their potential in the second half, it was all Ravens. A 20 – 3 second half rout allowed the Ravens to cruise to a comfortable 23 – 10 victory despite playing far from their best football.

The Jets return home next week to face a far less formidable opponent, the 4-7 Atlanta Falcons. Perhaps the Jets can get back on track against a Falcons team missing their
