MARTINSVILLE, IN– It's hard to encounter a Martinsville resident who hasn't at least heard of Senate President Pro Tempore Rodric Bray , their state senator.
Often they know him personally, or he was their lawyer at some point, or they knew his father, Richard, who also served in the Statehouse ; or his late grandfather, William, a former U.S. congressman and war hero .
And even though most Republicans in this very red county will tell you they love President Donald Trump, that doesn't mean they would necessarily shift their allegiance from Bray should Trump support a primary challenger, as he's promised to do since Bray stood in the way of mid-decade redistricting .
Why?
"Because he's our local guy and we know he's got a reason that's valid," Vickie Kivett said, munching on
