Following two days of snow last week, many are wondering when we can next expect the region to become a winter wonderland.

And as we countdown to the most wonderful time of the year, you may too be dreaming about whether it'll be a white Christmas.

Just last week, the region was forced to endure "blizzard" conditions during a heavy batch of snowfall that forced schools to close and caused huge delays on motorways.

Pictures showed families having snowball fights and enjoying the winter weather but some motorists were hit with huge delays as some roads were left impassable.
