For the fifth time in 12 games, the New York Giants squandered a double-digit lead en route to suffering a 34-27 overtime loss at the Detroit Lions that dropped the Giants to 2-10 on the season.

Giants show Shane Bowen the door ahead of Thanksgiving

NFL Network insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported on Monday that the Giants have fired defensive coordinator Shane Bowen. The Giants previously parted ways with head coach Brian Daboll one day after they blew a double-digit lead in a loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 10.

Per NFL insider Josina Anderson, outside linebackers coach Charlie Bullen will now serve as New York's interim defensive coordinator.
