Watch the ‘Hamilton’ cast perform on the New York City streets

“Hamilton” is continuing to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a new video for the song “My Shot,” premiering Nov. 24 exclusively on TODAY.

In the video, the Broadway musical’s cast honors its New York City roots by donning their costumes and hitting the streets to perform the song for passersby.

Trey Curtis, who currently stars as Alexander Hamilton, raps the song’s swaggering lyrics. Brazen young Hamilton, who describes himself as “young, scrappy and hungry” just like the United States, vows to make his mark on the new nation.

“Hamilton,” based on Ron Chernow’s 2004 biography “Alexander Hamilton,” was written by Lin-Manuel Miranda , who also originated the role of Hamilton, one of the Founding Fathers of the U.S.
