Maureen Ryan Braley knew that she wanted to work in law from a young age. “I wanted to be a lawyer since I was about 9 years old. I was drawn to the law as a service industry, serving others,” Braley said. “I was also drawn to public service, based on my family and my educa-tional background. Law is a learned profession – you are always learning something new, discovering new ways to approach a problem, new arguments to make. I am a lifelong learner and was drawn to an academic profession. I also love lawyers and wanted to be around them. They are the smartest and funniest people I know.”
Braley completed her Juris Doctor at Gonzaga University School of Law in 2004. In her first legal career role as a law clerk at the Idaho Supreme Court right out of school, Braley
