SEGUIN, Texas — For the first time in his career, Semaj Edwards (Lanham, MD/Oak Hill) has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Player of the Week for his role in leading the Bulldogs to a pair of big victories over the weekend.

Edwards averaged 25.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 assist in victories over Southwestern and No. 20-ranked Hardin-Simmons. Edwards led TLU with 22 points as the Oak Hill alum shot 7-of-14 from the field and was 6-of-8 from the free throw line on Friday. Edwards scored 13 of his 22 points in the second half.

He matched his career-high with 29 points on Sunday on 11-of-19 shooting, including 6-of-9 from beyond the arc. Edwards started 2-of-6 in the first half but surged for 23 points on 9-of-1
