Two men and a woman were found dead at a Springfield, Massachusetts, home Tuesday morning, after a report of a stabbing, police said.

Police didn't say if they made any arrests after the discovery on State Street near Ionia Street, but did note that there was no threat to the public.

Officers responded to the home about 9:50 a.m. after being called for a person's stabbing, police said. They went inside and found the three people dead.

It wasn't immediately clear how the people were killed.

Springfield police said their homicide unit was investigating along with the Hampden County District Attorney's Office. NBC10 Boston has reached out to prosecutors for more information.
