Light snow is in the cards for Hamilton this week.
Environment Canada says Tuesday’s rain will continue overnight before a cold front from a low-pressure system in the Great Lakes hits the region Wednesday afternoon, bringing with it a 40 per cent chance of flurries.
But not much of the white stuff — if any — is expected to accumulate on sidewalks or roads thanks to mild temperatures in recent days.
“Surfaces have a tendency to remain warmer than the air for longer periods, so it’s expected to melt on the ground,” said Steven Flisfeder, a meteorologist with the national weather service.
