TAYLOR COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - A Georgia man has been arrested and accused of stealing money intended to help small businesses recover from last year’s hurricanes.
Carl Needham, 31, from Atlanta, is charged with grand theft, identity theft and money laundering, according to a press release from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Investigators said he stole the information of someone applying for an emergency loan after Hurricane Helene, and applied for $38,000 for himself.
