A body was found Monday morning in the water off Castle Island in South Boston, according to police.
Boston police officers were notified around 9:34 a.m. that the Massachusetts Environmental Police had recovered a body in the water off Castle Island, police said.
The body was taken by the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy and homicide detectives were notified, according to police.
Police have not released information about whether they believe the death was suspicious.
No other information was immediately available.
