ATLANTA — It’s that time of year when brake lights stretch for miles and holiday travelers pack interstates across Georgia and the country. Millions of people are heading out for Thanksgiving, creating what’s expected to be one of the busiest travel weeks of the year.
LAG Dise, who was filling up his tank in Atlanta before driving to Michigan.
"I don't really celebrate the holidays, but I like to go for family," he said.
Despite his excitement to see loved ones, Dise admitted he wasn’t thrilled about the price at the pump — $3.79 per gallon where he stopped for gas.
"I'm going to have to fill up two or three times, but as we go up, I think the prices should come down, hopefully," he said.
Gas prices may feel steep, but according to AAA, they’re nearly the same as this time last year.
