The Detroit City Council adopted the community benefits agreement and an amended "brownfield" subsidy for Detroit City Football Club's plan to build a professional soccer stadium in the Corktown area of southwest Detroit, along with new housing, commercial space and parking.
Dozens of supporters urged council members Tuesday, Nov. 25, to approve the agreement for the upcoming AlumniFi Field , which includes a minimum wage of $17-per-hour for stadium staff, supporting union neutrality, parking and making various community investments.
