Leon Samuels credits his mother for his interest in pursuing a legal career. “Growing up, she told me I could be a doctor, dentist or a lawyer. Since I get queasy thinking about ailing bodies, being a lawyer was the only option I had left,” Samuels said. “In all seriousness, I love hearing about other people’s stories and what makes them tick. Giving people a voice in the justice system resonated with me the most.”

After completing a bachelor’s in politics and economics at The College of Idaho in 2007, Samuels graduated in 2011 with his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law.
