SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The main weather headline from Tuesday was the strong winds! Gusts over 60mph were recorded in several northeast Nebraska communities. Here is a list of some of the top recorded wind gusts today:
TUESDAY NIGHT
The wind will slowly taper overnight. Gusts will drop from around 60mph early in the night to around 30mph by sunrise. High Wind Warnings and Wind Advisories will remain in effect for several hours overnight. The High Wind Warnings in northeast Nebraska, southeast South Dakota and Plymouth, Woodbury and Monona counties in Iowa will expire at midnight. The Wind Advisories in northwest Iowa will expire at 3am or 6am.
Temperatures will drop into the mid 20s overnight. With the strong wind, feels like temperatures will drop into the teens.
