WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - One person has died following a fire that tore through a house in West Springfield last week.
This according to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office which reported the update to Western Mass News on Tuesday.
The two-alarm fire began just after 2:30 p.m. last Wednesday at 98 Allston Avenue.

At the time, officials told us one person had been injured in connection to that fire and was transported to the hospital.
Now nearly a week later, we’re learning that individual suffered serious injuries and has since died as a result.
At this time, the Hampden DA’s Office is not releasing any further details about the victim.
