SAINT MATTHEWS, S.C. — There’s no snoozing in Mrs. Kacy Strock's 2nd grade classroom at Calhoun Academy . That's because she makes sure her students have fun while learning.

“Seeing them have a little bit of growth, that's exciting. Seeing their sweet faces being able to do something hard that they thought they couldn't do," says Mrs. Strock.

Teaching is a passion that started in high school when she was a teacher cadet in Dorchester County and continued at Francis Marion University.

“Once I got into the education classes, I realized how much I really did love that I got to go into lots more schools and stuck with it. You know, some people ended up switching out. They realized that wasn't the place for them, but I knew this was for me,” says Mrs. Strock.
