LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Thousands of Louisvillians are expected to fly out of the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) for the Thanksgiving holiday.
SDF is expecting 36,000 people to fly out for the holiday week. The number is on par with last year, which was a record-breaking year for the airport.
Louisville-natives Sam and Storm Berman arrived back home Tuesday morning after a Florida trip, ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday rush.
"Honestly, it was a lot easier than I thought it would be," they said. "TSA was quick, and getting the getting the flights was kind of a problem. Our first flights got canceled. Actually, we had to rebook. But besides that, it was good!"
SDF spokesperson Natalie Chaudoin says 8,000 seats are expected to fly out of the airport on Wednesday and 9,000
