LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A McCreary County man experienced the surprise of a lifetime during what he thought would be a routine day in his deer stand.
The hunter, who wanted to stay anonymous, said he nearly fell out after winning $1.1 million from the Kentucky Lottery’s Wolf Ridge Jackpots online game – all from a $30 wager made on his phone.
He decided to take his chances after some of his family experienced big wins recently.
Within minutes, he hit $1,500, added more money, and kept playing.
Despite his frustration with phone calls from relatives interrupting the game, one final spin became the luck of the hunt.
