SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - One year. One Heartland county. Nine murder trials.
“When Don and I entered the 2025 calendar, we just said, ‘this is a murder trial year,’” said Scott County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Lesley Hall.
Following a COVID shutdown and a violent two-year period, Hall and Scott County Prosecuting Attorney Don Cobb realized they had an unusually high number of murder cases set to go on trial within the same 12-month period.
I met with them several times to talk about what happened in each case.
I also met with the family members of two victims, who were willing to share what they experienced.
