INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis ER nurse is being praised for taking action not in a hospital, but onboard a plane.

And now, she and her patient are raising awareness about early warning signs of a stroke.

In the halls of Community Hospital South, LPN Mary Swain has a nickname for her strength and toughness in the emergency room.

"I'm technically named 'Rambo,'" she said with a laugh.

But her performance off the clock, 30,000 feet in the air, is adding to the action hero moniker: saving Sophie Sarbach's life in a mid-flight emergency.
