It’s time to brace ourselves for a significant shift in our weather pattern here in Southern Illinois and surrounding areas. Gusty winds and much colder temperatures are on the way starting tomorrow. In fact, a Wind Advisory has been issued for portions of southeast Illinois and southwest Indiana, from 9 AM to 4 PM Central Time tomorrow (Wednesday), as wind gusts could meet or exceed 40 mph.

This is quite a change from the milder conditions we've seen recently, with highs tomorrow expected to be about 10 to 15 degrees colder than today, reaching only the middle to upper 40s.

Looking ahead to Thanksgiving and Friday, the calendar brings Canadian high pressure, which means we’ll see plenty of sunshine return. However, don't pack away those jackets just yet! Temperatures will remain chilly,
