WATERLOO, Iowa — In just one week, voters in Black Hawk County will head to the polls for the December runoff elections. The mayoral race in Waterloo between incumbent Mayor Quentin Hart and City Councilman Dave Boesen is drawing significant attention.
Boesen emphasized his focus on fiscal responsibility and transparency, highlighting the importance of balancing the city's budget.
"I think they see the direction the city is going, they're not happy with their taxes, not happy with the way we spend our money, and they want something different," Boesen said.
He believes his history of public service positions him as the candidate for change, hoping voters will recognize this in the upcoming election.
"I'm the voice of change. I hope people see that. I hope they get out and vote December
