LAS VEGAS – It was a bit of revenge Tuesday afternoon, as No. 15 Iowa State (6-0) blitzed Creighton (3-3) in its second contest of the Players Era, 78-60. The Cyclones avenged an exhibition loss in Omaha in handling the Bluejays, earning their eighth-straight win over CU since 1990-91. Yesterday it was ISU win 100, today it was career win 200 for ISU head coach T.J. Otzelberger, who bested the man who hired him at Iowa State, Greg McDermott. Over half of Otzelberger’s wins have come at ISU (101) and 26 of those 101 wins have been over ranked foes (including yesterday’s triumph over St. John’s).
