IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - On the gridiron, Iowa has controlled the ongoing series against Nebraska, winning nine of the last 10 meetings.

However, even with Iowa’s recent dominance, the games have been competitive.

Each of the last seven Iowa-Nebraska games have been decided by seven points or fewer. The rivalry between the fanbases remains intense.

Senior offensive lineman Logan Jones, who grew up in Council Bluffs on the Iowa-Nebraska border, said the rivalry creates heightened intensity.

“Oh, absolutely. That’s how rivalry should be, right? They should hate us and we hate them. That’s the way it is,” Jones said. “We respect the way they do things and respect the way they’ve done things the past couple of years. They have a good football team.”
