Las Vegas – The Syracuse Orange’s offense during the team’s two games in Las Vegas has been like driving the team bus down the Las Vegas Strip.
There’s lots of stops and starts and absolutely no flow.
Syracuse lost to Kansas, 71-60, on Tuesday just one day after coming up just shy of a huge upset of Houston before falling 78-74 in overtime.
The Orange’s performance in both games was highlighted by an intense, scrappy all-out effort. It was low-lighted by poor free throw shooting, which has been an issue all season, and a sputtering, stop-and-start offense, which is an entirely new issue for this year’s Orange.
In Tuesday’s loss to Kansas, Syracuse made just 31.7% of its field goal attempts, going 20-for-63 from the floor.
