1Charlottesville man killed in Monacan Trail Road crash after being ejected from vehicle

North Garden, VA – A 31-year-old Charlottesville man was killed Monday morning after being ejected from a vehicle during a single-car crash on Monacan Trail Road in Albemarle County, police confirmed in an update Tuesday.

The crash occurred around 11:38 a.m. on November 24 near Rural Ridge Lane in the North Garden area. Albemarle County Police and Fire Rescue responded and located a vehicle that had left the roadway. One occupant, identified as Cole R. Peale-Grody, was found outside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts.
