DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) - Enrollment for free four-year-old preschool in Dubuque for the 2026-27 school year will start Monday.

All 11 public elementary schools in Dubuque are included, as well as the Seedlings Preschool Center on Chavenelle Road offering preschool through the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program.

Free preschool is available to Iowa residents who are four years old by September 15. To enroll a student, proof of age and residency must be provided to the district enrollment office or submitted during the online application. The office is located at 2300 Chaney Road.

Online enrollment starts at 12:00 p.m. on December 1. Families needing internet access can use computers with staff help at all district elementary schools and the main office starting December 1.
