One day after waiving quarterback Sean Clifford, the Cincinnati Bengals are bringing the former St. Xavier High School star back to their practice squad.

On Tuesday night, Clifford was signed to the Cincinnati practice squad, after he cleared waivers.

The Bengals signed Clifford on Sept. 16, and he spent six games on Cincinnati’s practice squad before joining the roster.

Clifford, a product of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Penn State. He's appeared in just two NFL games, both coming in the 2023 season.
