CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Coming down the home stretch on an alternative rezoning proposal for Severance Town Center, the Cleveland Heights Planning Commission has issued its recommendation for City Council approval.
This came after a four-hour meeting Nov. 12, with the commission planning to revisit the proposed zoning map overlay district around the largely vacant plaza and parking lot.
Severance Town Centre started out as Ohio’s first enclosed shopping mall in 1963.
It is the city’s only “S-1” zoning district, which the Planning Commission majority believes needs some revamping.
